Adoption Process
Step 1:

Step 2:
Make an appointment to walk through our kennels.
If you’re reluctant to do so because it’s upsetting for you, we will arrange for you to meet a couple of animals in the privacy of one of our exercise runs. This will give you time to get to know each animal and help you make your selection. Kindly note that our viewing times are from 10:00 - 15:00 (Mon - Fri) and 09:30 - 11:00 on Saturdays.
Step 3:
Before viewing the animals up for adoption, we will ask you to fill in an adoption questionnaire.
You will need the following documents:
Step 4:
Once you've decided which dog or cat you’d like to adopt, a meet & greet will be scheduled if you have other dogs and children living with you.
Please ensure that you bring your dogs' vaccinations card when doing the meet and greet - it is important that their vaccinations are up to date.
Step 5:
You will be asked to complete the adoption application to pay a non-refundable deposit of R300. Please note that we allow 48 hours for all documentation to be sent through to us.
Step 6:
Next, one of our pre-placement officers will visit your home.
This ensures that your property is suitable for the animal concerned.
We take into account criteria such as:

Other animals in the family.

Children’s ages.
-
Level of family activity (how often will the dog be exercised).

Size of property.
-
Hazards on the property (e.g. is there a cover for the pool/can the dog escape the fence)
Step 7:
If your application is approved, the remainder of the adoption fee (R1000 will be due.)
Step 8:
Your pet will be sterilized, dewormed, vaccinated, and microchipped.
Step 9:
Collect your new loving companion and start a wonderful life together!
